7 Area’s of Learning

We give children opportunity to experience a language rich environment and develop confidence to express their wants, needs, feelings and opinions.

We encourage children to be active learners and develop their co-ordination, movement and motor skills. We also support children to understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

We provide children with an environment in which they will gain a positive sense of themselves and develop relationships in order to develop their social skills. We also support children to develop confidence in their abilities and be able to self regulate their emotions and behaviours.

We promote a love for books and children will experience a range of storytelling experiences, including sensory stories, as well as being supported to explore letters and sounds. We provide a variety of mark making experiences to support children’s early writing skills.

We provide varied opportunities for children to explore number, shape, space and measure.

Our children are supported to explore, observe and understand the world around them.

Children are encouraged to share their thought, ideas and feelings through a variety of media including role play, music and movement and art.
